    Layout

    Forward in the bow is the guest stateroom with a double berth with two hanging lockers and storage, air conditioning and hydronic heat ducting.

    Amidships is the guest head with a fresh water Jabsco Designer-style electric macerating toilet and an enclosed shower. Just aft of the guest head is the spiral staircase to the pilothouse.

    Aft of the stairs is the combined office space and master stateroom with a queen size bed and abundant storage. Both heat and air conditioning are located in the stateroom. The master stateroom includes a built-in Splendid washer-drier. Off the stateroom is the master head with fresh water Jabsco Designer-style macerating toilet and an enclosed shower.

    Both shower drains are plumbed to a new (2018) Whale Gulper drain pump for grey water.

    Access to the immaculate engine room is through a door in the master stateroom. The engine room contains the fuel manifolds, the Kabola heating manifolds, the 22 gallon water heater, the compressor for the built-in freezer and the 8KW Northern Lights generator (with 1615 hours).

    Up the spiral staircase is the pilothouse with a helm seat, a fixed chart/dining table and an L-shaped settee.

    Down four steps from the pilothouse are the salon, galley and dining areas. The galley has a new (2018) propane stove top, a combined convection/microwave oven and a full size, household style Kenmore refrigerator (120 volts AC, powered from the inverter or shore power). The salon includes two seating areas, one settee on the starboard side plus a U-shaped settee with folding dinner table to port. The table can be lowered and an insert used for the occasional guests as an added sleeping area. Along the forward bulk head, across from the galley is the entertainment center with a Sharp smart TV, Bose sound bar and a DVD player. Food and galley storage is under the settees and in the buffet along the starboard side of the salon. There is also a 12 volt chest freezer in the buffet. Also in the center of the salon is an additional access hatch to the engine room.

    Aft of the salon is the cockpit and lazarette. New canvas (2018) encloses the entire cockpit for weather protection. On the port side is a spiral staircase to the upper boat deck. The cockpit and swim step is covered with low maintenance polymer “teak” style decking. Access to the large lazarette is through a hatch in the cockpit. Inside the lazarette are the house, thruster, engine start and genset start battery banks plus the Kabola hydronic heating unit.

    The flybridge includes a steering helm, helm seat, dining area, full Bimini cover (new in 2018), built in BBQ, propane tanks (new in 2018) and the dinghy with davit. The helm/dining area also has the low maintenance polymer “teak” decking.

    Manufacturer Provided Descriptions

    Inspired from the success of the North Pacific 43 comes the North Pacific 52 Pilothouse. Based largely on the same layout, the 52 expands on the most desirable features of the 43 including a spacious salon, excellent pilothouse visibility, extensive storage areas and easy access to maintain equipment.

    Accommodation Description

    The mid-ship master stateroom is a full beam stateroom with four portholes adding light and a feeling of spaciousness. The master stateroom has an island queen sized bed as well as a private head with a shower. The two-stateroom layout allows for more space in the master stateroom with an office area on the starboard side that is a great work area and also adds significantly more storage. There are a total of 12 drawers, 3 hanging lockers, 2 other lockers and two bookshelves. Standard equipment includes a washer/dryer which is also installed in the master stateroom. The master head, which can only be accessed from the stateroom is spacious and bright. There is plenty of storage and a large separate shower stall. Forward of the master stateroom on the starboard side of the hallway is the guest head. Though slightly smaller than the master head the guest head is bright and feels comfortable. It has a several storage areas and a nice shower stall rounded by a frosted glass door. Forward is a comfortable guest cabin with an island queen or the option of two bunks. The forward cabin has 4 drawers, 2 hanging lockers, 2 other cabinets and 2 bookshelves. There is no access to the chain locker from this cabin making the guest room feel more dry and comfortable.

    Engine Room Description

    The walk in engine room is well appointed and very spacious. Accessed through a door in the master stateroom or through a hatch on the salon floor, the engine room is easy to get around and to maintain all the equipment. The height of the engine room is about 4.5' and there is more than 24" on each side of the Cummins QSC 540Hp engine. A single sea chest eliminates the need for multiple thru-hull fittings in the bottom of the hull by servicing the engine, generator, air-conditioning and seawater washdown. Fuel management is made easy by mounting the dual Racor fuel filters served by copper fuel lines on the forward bulkhead. In the aft part of the engine room is the standard 8KW Northern Lights generator. With its large muffler and water/gas separator it is almost not noticeable when it is running.

    Hull & Deck Description

    The semi displacement hull with its hard chines is very stable and allows for a comfortable 10 kts cruise. This heavy hull performs very well in rough water. The deep keel and extended skeg provides excellent protection for the shaft, propeller and rudder. The hull is hand-laid solid fiberglass. There is an epoxy barrier coat below the waterline and anti fouling paint. The superstructure is hand-laid and is solid fiberglass on the sides and cored with synthetic NIDA core on the decks. All exterior stainless steel is #316.

    Salon

    Stepping into the North Pacific 52 Pilothouse you will first be amazed at the openness and the amount of space. The NP52 has a full beam salon and galley which allows for an extra level of comfort that would not be possible on most 52' boats. The galley is very spacious and features an 18 cu ft stainless steel fridge/freezer with built in ice maker. Also in the galley is a Princess 4 burner cooktop and a large convection microwave oven. A trash compactor is standard and a dishwasher is optional. Corian countertops and a large double sink make food preparation and clean up easy. Under the counter are 3 large cabinets and 5 drawers. For extra storage you can opt for a ceiling mounted cabinet. Across from the galley on the starboard wall is an L shaped storage area. There are several drawers and two large cabinets. A freezer space is built in here. The storage area is topped with corian or teak. As you enter the salon on the port side there is a large and amazingly comfortable U shaped dinette/settee with a high-low table. The starboard side has an excellent "L" shaped seating area and a table. From any of the seating areas the LCD TV mounted on the forward wall is viewable. All rooms in the NP52 come standard with speakers and a CD/DVD player/radio mounted in the pilothouse. The interior of the North Pacific 52 Pilothouse is fully finished with teak and holly floors. The bulkheads are made from Marine grade plywood covered with a teak veneer and several coats of satin varnish. The handles, trim, drawer faces, cabinet doors etc are all solid teak. The floors are made from teak about 1⁄4" in thickness (they can be sanded down and refinished) and holly hand laid.

    Pilothouse

    The Pilothouse offers excellent visibility from the helm making cruising in the most miserable conditions safe, warm and comfortable. A large raised dash allows her electronics screens to be easily viewed from the comfortable helm seat. The captain need not be alone in this pilothouse with its raised U shaped settee and table aft of the helm seat which allows for a clear view over the bow. On the starboard side is a cabinet with plenty of storage. There are teak faced, water tight, aluminum doors on each side of the pilothouse, which makes docking much easier and can be opened underway to provide a nice breeze through the boat.

    Portuguese Bridge and Flybridge

    Walking outside on the North Pacific 52 will give you a feeling of security everywhere with its high and sturdy 1.25" stainless steel railings. A Portuguese bridge surrounds the pilothouse adding to the level of safety. On each side of the Portuguese bridge next to the pilothouse doors is a door that opens where a removable ladder can be lowered into position making it possible to get onto the dock from the pilothouse. The staircase in the cockpit makes the concept of a "raised walk around" even easier and the full width will not inhibit anyone's ability to dock the yacht while adding an enormous amount of space inside. The flybridge is large and allows for her Aluminum bottowed RIB Dinghy to be stored on the top deck. Forward of the open area is an L shaped settee. Across from the L shaped settee is a cabinet with a barbeque, fridge and sink excellent for entertaining guests on a nice evening. Forward is a helm seat and on each side of the helm, cushions, and a bimini add to the comfort above.
